I like Circle Lake.
Yes, it is nice. Circle Lake is about 3 hours drive from Seattle, plus 6 hours of vigorous hiking (about 5 miles hiking on a trail, plus about 2 miles hiking cross country, with about 3,000 feet elevation gain altogether). Tough enough hike to discourage almost everyone else, surrounded by mountains and snowfields, with a spectacular drop to Deep Lake far below.
