Seattle Winter Weather

During the Seattle winter, it is about 40 F and raining lightly in the morning. Some days are warmer, some days colder, but 40 degrees and raining is a normal morning for November through April.

It always rains on New Year's Day in Seattle (to be more precise, January 1 is the only day of the year with measurable precipitation at my house every year from 1996-present). This statement was also true of December 31 until 2006. We had no measurable rainfall on December 31.
