Last Thursday

My amazing 90-year-old dad sent me this photo, taken on a ridge somewhere near Mt. Stuart last Thursday. This hike was about 6 miles round trip with 1,500 feet elevation gain and loss.

The women invited him along on the hike to answer all of their flower questions, which he can, of course. He gets invited on trips like this several times a week from April till October. He is having a very nice retirement.

Binary Day

Maybe not as cool as January 1, 2001 (and certainly not as cool as January 1, 1001, which occurred before binary numbers were invented), but still, 10-10-10 is a pretty nice binary date.
